New Bugs in Multiplicity?

minor bugs, but annoying nonetheless...

I've just updated to the new versions of multiplicity, and encounted two bugs which were not present in prior versions.

While working on secondary machine:
1. When I press Caps Lock, it turns keyboard Num Lock on and off; and
2. alt-ctrl-del brings up task manager on primary computer.

Both 1.02.004 and 1.02.005 presented these issues, while previous versions (v1.01) did not.

(I'm currently using WinXP with SP2.)

I have Multiplicity 1.02 pro installed on 2 Windows XP machines and I’m finding that Multiplicy is crashing if ProxyCap (http://proxylabs.netwu.com/) is installed and running on my primary machine. The crash does not occur right away, sometimes it takes 2 or 3 minutes before it will die on me. This is extremely annoying if my mouse happens to be located on the other machine at the time. In that case, I have to reset my primary machine because I loose all mouse/keyboard control.

Multiplicity is the only application that crashes with ProxyCap running (and I’m not attempting to tunnel Multiplicity through ProxyCap at all, they are just “coexisting” or at least attempting to.)

Both proxycap and Multiplicity start up at windows launch. Within a few minutes, even if inactive, multiplicity will crash.

I have uninstalled completely, manually deleting the Multiplicity folder afterwards (there’s a dll that remains). This continues to happen after being reinstalled. I’m using a dual xeon 3.2 Dell Precision 650 as my main machine.

I'm also finding that the mouse cursor will sometimes just appear back on the primary computer, usually after a brief pause of movement on the secondary computer. Anyone else seeing this?

Ps. I've sent a couple emails regarding this issue to support but have not heard back yet. Figured I'd give this forum a shot.

I just changed to my secondary boot partition (primary computer) which still used 1.01 of multiplicity, and while connected to the secondary using 1.02, the caps lock worked fine, but alt-ctrl-del causes the windos task manager to open on both computers.

I upgraded to 1.02.005 on the primary's alternate boot partition, and the caps lock issue came back, although the windows task manager is still opening on both machines now...

Where do you see the minor version number? Mine just says "Stardock Multiplicity Pro 1.02".

Ctrl-alt-del has always caused CAD to occur on both the primary & the secondary machine when you are controlling a remote machine.

Ctrl-alt-backspace should be used instead.

We are looking into this capslock = numlock issue thats been reported here.

lol, it seems that all this time, I must have been using the taskbar menu to select the task manager, as I've never noticed both open before. Well, they say you learn something new everyday
