And if your parents thinks it's a silly hobby and a waste of time, you can point out the number of companies that untilises skinning in their marketing. ie. ATI, nVidia, Microsoft, Alienware and such. Try to explain to them how it has a much less detructable effect that some of the other options some youth take to these days and that skinning might be a way to earn money. (DesktopGadgets.com)

by the way i do have a banking account with a lot of money in it but i can't use that account until i'm 18 or older.

My 2 cents.... I have been visiting WC for a looooong time now, I am a subscriber to OD and WC and have purchased just about everything they have put up on the site. Why, because I am rich..no, because I have nothing better to do with my money...no

It's because out of all the sites that I visit, I use WC by far the most and feel as if the folks at WC put their lives into a site for all of us to use. Not to mention that Stardock makes some pretty sweet applications that I would hate to see go away. The least I can do is to do my small part to support them. I download skins, widgets and walls all the time and have contributed very little in terms of skins that I have created, (except for some pretty funky attempts at SysMetrix ). I am very happy to do my small part to see that myself and everyone else continuous to have the best skin site on the net stay around for a long time to come.

I rarely run into problems getting the site to load or pages to come up but when I do I just log off, wait awhile and normally when I try to log in again I do so without any problems. But that's just me. If you feel you are being cheated out of something here, you should ask for a refund, if you just like to complain then fixing the site and making it perfect won't solve your problems.

Speaking strictly for me, I feel like I am the one who has gotten a good deal when I think about all the applications and skins I have either purchased or downloaded for free.

Oh yeah.. I like the look as it is but if WC decides to change it then I have no doubt they will do it when it makes good technical and business sense.

I think what some people tend to forget is that working on a site like WC is a full time gig and one hell of a commitment. Keep up the great work Stardock!!

I agree with Boss you admin. people are always pushing it up our noses how you are doing your work here as volunteers. Than do it or leave it but don't keep at it "I should have been in bed.......or what ever. Complaining not having enough subscribers well you volunterely are doing a good job to lose the ones you have.
I have purchased nearly all there is from WC and Sardock that includes purchases of Icons and WB made by great skinners of Pixtudio and others, but a few days back I had a problem with the new upgrade of IP and after writing an article of 20 odd lines I get a reply in the thread form Jafo "How's that". I mean you people need to treat people with respect and have tact. Hell we have paid for a lot of things and I will also not allow anyone to treat me like I have been treated in the past. And weather you like it or not, it is very UNPROFESSIONAL of some of you admin. people to speak to their customers the way you do. I see you all just have excuses but I quess you don't see it and you see our comments as distructive to your personalities and that is where the problem is. You should take it all in your strides and show your professionalism and see what can be done to make things better for this site, as you are missing the point that most of us are for the survival and better service and deffinitely better attitude towards your PAYING customers on this site. This is a business like any other these days as Cindi mentioned, too much too do and not enough right hands to make the job right and easier plus the ones that are employed by choice or with pay are not doing a good job and you just have to admit that. Any person that reads this will see that most CUSTOMERS are not happy while the STAFF is just, as always, deffending them selves but it's ok if they have a go at members. If it keeps up there will be no WC and than you won't have to whinge about your volunteer work. Sick of hearing it guys it was your choice so we don't need to know and hear it again. Frankly I don't care what you do for what just DO IT. And if I ever get treated in an unprofessinal way I will take it further. Just to ask you the ADMINISTRATORS does the owner read what you people write here and how you behave towards some people? Would be nice if he, she or they had a look.

Are there problems with the site? yes. Are there attitude problems with admins, journeymen, master apprentices, apprentices and citizens? You bet. Can a huge group of egos all meld together to make this site work? Yet to be seen. Are the skins cool? The coolest. Is that why we're all here? It's a huge reason why I am here. The other reason is some of the people of whom I don't want to live my life without. When you think of it, skins and computers are temporary at best. People not so much (in my view). It is due time that we all (including myself) treat others with respect.

This is the reason I will refrain from making comments here as well as on commenting on the skins because it just turns in to another thing. The comment was not to you and I don't see why you need to bother. Just concentrate on what you want to say.
