Ctrl-Alt_Delete issue (Pre-sales issue)

I have 2 machines with WinXP, both running on a domain....
If I reboot the secondary, I cannot type a password in the login after hitting control-alt-delete - the mouse works fine, tab works, enter works, etc., but if I try to fill in the password - no workee..... Worse yet, dragging out the secondaries "real" keyboard - it's disconnected until I move the mouse back to my primary. Using "Logoff" and trying to log back on has the exact same issue.

2nd issue - ctrl-alt-del brings up ctrl-alt-del dialog on both machines if I was on the secondary - it immediately freezes the secondaries mouse, and the mouse reverts back to the primary screen. Until I dismiss the dialog on the primary, I cannot even get over to the secondary to click the "task manager" button.

Unfortunately, these are deal-breakers for me if there's no fix or work-around....

You should be using ctrl-alt-end on the secondary to bring up the Widows Security dialog window.

Can you type in the user name field? It would be very odd if the password field were locked but no other. Try tapping the escape key twice. I've had some success with that when MP acts funny.

For me - ctrl-Alt-End exits multiplicty and terminates the session - not useful. I want to bring up the task manager.

Nothing works to type in the password or user name field (hadn't tried username because it was already correct).

The first problem I can live with working around, but not being able to log on without a keyboard is killer.....

The only other thing I can think of to try is to go find a USB keybaord rather than a PS-2 keyboard, but I can't imagine, given that tab works.

OK, there is a solution - disconnect the keyboard on the secondary. If the keyboard is connected, windows wants the password to come from that keyboard apparently.......

ctrl-alt-backspace can simulate ctrl-alt-del on the secondary without causing taskmanager to show on the primary.

ctrl-alt-end quits MP.
