IP 3.00a Help Needed. Issues Creating Package

Ok, I'm having a few issues. First my setup:
XP Pro SP2
Windowblinds 4.5
IP 3.00a
OD 1.2
First I opened IP and went File/New Package. Spent a while changing all the icons using the Minium set and Docinium set plus a few extras to cover a few things missed. Save the package as Minium. Close IP and then Re-open and sweet, there's my new package. Load then apply and everythings working fine.
I then notice tons of files I I use quuite often like .rar and .avi aren't listed so I go File/Open Package and Add Format about 50 times and change the icons. I then click File/Save Package and overwrite my old package. Then close IP, Re-open and load then apply my new set and to my growing annoyance I find it's changed round all the icons! I've got folders using the Secheduled Tasks icons and rar's using jpg icons and the Recycle Bin looking like a Briefcase and so on and so on. What's the deal?
Anyone had this issue before? Or know of a work around? I also noticed I can't Add Formats in the Package Builder? How come?
Any help would be much appreciated.
