MOO Series Homeworld statistics

Remember from the Master or Orions series, Microprose allowed you to design your Homeworld? Wasn't that an excellent feature?!
How about installing it in Galactic Civilization 2. You cannot directly influence the outcome of your Planet Class but indirectly narrow its randomality. Thinking, I cameup with these possible choices. Like in MOO, you are placed with 10 points...

-Resource Average Your planet is effectivily balanced in all aspects.
-Mineral Rich Your Homeworld's Mantle is much more Rock, much less lead. #5
-Nutrient Rich Unless otherwise, your Soil is pretty dunged up. #5
-Magnetic Ample Your planet is an enhanced wise, overdosed Electric Bulb. #5
------------------------------
-Racial Gravity This planets gravity is 'perfect' to the physical structure of the Sentient beings.
-Light Gravity Homeworld's gravity permits efficent mining. 5#
-Heavy Gravity Homeworld's gravity permits strong Soldiers'en'Crews. 5#
-------------------------------
-Roaming Animals Your Homeworld was once inhabited by vicious, large species and have through the centuries made your Race very warlike. Your Civilization's Infantry and Pilots are enhanced in the area of Offence mildly.#10
-Superior Species Your Race has undergone Civil-Wars but overral Peace reigned for many centuries with those stagnats, your Civilization is intellectual in the area of Diplomacy and Social. #10
-Ideological War Past Your Civilization has been through intense, world-threatening Wars between ideologies that believed the world should be ruled this way. In conclusion, 2225 your Race is enhanced in Diplomacy and all Governments bonus's are increased slightly. #10

I think I don't get it: what are the difference between some of your suggestions and the fact you can choose picks with your starting race?

BTW, are you playing the beta or have you seen the planetary management screen: some tiles of your planets canh ave bonus.

i like ur ideas. they maek a lot of sense. i also think u should be able to choose lik 2 or 3 buildings to have erected wwhen u start. if a race can achieve intergalactic travel they should be able to buil;d a far or factory before they do. we not dealing with a stargate atlantis kind of homeworld in this game in which there is one heavily populated are adn the rest of the land is undeveloped.

That makes sense actually. The complete randomness of the homeworld in GC1, made a lot of players regenerate the galaxy till the finally had a nice quality homeplanet.

This option will even things out.

Personally I always thought the point was to play with what the game gives you. If you star in a bad position you just have to play harder.
