No Disk Found

Does anyone know why I am getting this error?

Every time I load a new desktop with Desktop X 3.1 I get an error asking me to inset a disk because no disk was found. It doesnt say what disk or where to insert it. I have tried throwing a floppy in, but I still get stuck in loops of pressing continue or cancel.

That's a bit odd. Does it happen with every DXTheme?

You could try this: Unload DX; go to C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Application Data\Stardock\DesktopX and clean out all the cache files and folders and then restart DX.

Yes, it does happen with each dxtheme. I have been able to hit continue on most and they seem to load alright, however a couple just hang there and require a hard restart. Cleaning the cache files and reloading did not work either. It still says "windows - no disk: there is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive" exactly.

hmm, well sorry I can't help you. I've never heard of that before. Hang in there...someone will be by with the answer in a while.

Just trying to help, but after you hit continue, switch to DesktopX Builder and resave the theme. This should save it (for) your computer. It works for me.

Yea that's a pretty bizarre thing. It's as if there's a widget or theme that is trying to read another drive.

I've had this problem with widgets that assume I have a D:\ drive on my laptop when I didn't. I just had to get rid of the widget to make it go away though.
