Extended Life Support tech bonus not applied

After I finished Extended Life Support tech (+10 range) I did not see any range increase for my ships on the galaxy map.

This is one tech that does work. You have to add the extended life support component to the ship before it receives the range increase.

I think that might be "as designed". Your ships have a range of 1 if you have no life support systems. You start with the low end (5) ship component, but extended gives you another (10), and advanced gives even another (20). The equipment is all about the same size IIRC, so your small ships can travel much further

OK, let me amend my post.

The Extended Life Support tech description should not say "+10 Range". This tech improvement makes a new support component available on the ship design screen, but does not automatically give +10 Range as advertised.

Actually, that does increase your range. I've seen it work.  It might take a turn though. Also, the +10 is to your ability, not the number of extra tiles you can move.
