Killing mini-freighters

First off, let me say this:
I LOVE KILLING DEFENSELESS MINI-FREIGHTERS!
I could smash those little suckers ALL DAY LONG!

That said, what can be done in GalCiv2 to enhance this experience? In GalCiv1, there is a Galactic Council resolution that comes up sometimes to vote on making min-freighter attacks illegal. Whenever you try to attack one, you get a popup saying that it is not allowed. Very cool. Mercilessly crushing unarmed mini-freighters (over and over again) is a great way to hurt your enemies without requiring much military might.

WHAT I WOULD LIKE TO SEE ADDED
-------------------------------------------------------
I think a new diplomatic option would be very cool in this area: "Trade Route Defense Pact". This would mean that both races agree that if any mini-freighter travelling a Trade Route (with both ends belonging to those two races) is attacked by a third party, then both races immediately declare war on the third party.

Examples:
1) Terran and Altarian races make a TRD Pact. A Terran freighter travelling to an Altarian planet is shot down by a Torian. Terran and Altarian races immediately declare war on Torians.
2) Terran and Altarian races make a TRD Pact. A Terran freighter travelling to a Korx planet is shot down by a Torian. Terrans declare war (as always, due to an attacked ship), but Altarians don't do anything because the other end of the Terran trade route was not an Altarian planet.

I like this concept because it takes into account the losses suffered by the OTHER SIDE of a Trade Route when mini-freighters are sent to Hell in a flash of fiery plasma death. Oh and think of the starving children...THE STARVING CHILDREN! Where are Altarian teenagers going to get an Oh Henry bar, or a box of Hot Pockets? Not on Wardell IV, I'll tell you that much!

Good idea. Something tells me that it won't get implemented as it's kind of a specialist request.

This might be better suited for a Diplomacy expansion.

Yeah I think you're right. Is it ok to repost this in the Ideas->Diplomacy category?
