Problem with Show Desktop & widget being visible

hi, im new to object desktop programs. I'm testing out widgets and things on desktopx, and I noticed even when I set the properties to desktop, when I press the "show desktop" quick shortcut, the widgets disappear. BUT my rainlendar remains. Is there a bug with desktopx where you can't press the 'show desktop' shortcut? also, if you right click the taskbar and show desktop, they disappear also. but I use this because its easier than minimizing all of my windows manually. thanks for any help

"Show Desktop" puts a full screen image of your wallpaper over the top of everything, except, I guess, Rainlendar. There are windowkey combinations which will minimize all open windows, but I don't remember what they are. There are several old threads about this, maybe you could search or poke around and find them?

Windows-key+M will minimize all of your windows and get you what you want.
