I used Registry and File Monitors and found DesktopX continously Open/Close Registry and many files.....is it necessary???

I believe that some DX objects will write their settings to the registry.

Maybe, but if you could see what they were doing, you would be scared too....Use there monitors to take a look

hmm... I had a look at it. I noted that after DesktopX is done reading the nessesary files and registry keys for the startup it kept opening, querying and closing keys related to the desktop wallpaper as well as opening, closing and reading information from the wallpaper file it self. (And I have not set any wallpaper in my current DX theme.) It seems a bit odd. I might try different themes and objects and see if there is any difference.

Have you had any lightning strikes, power surges or weird little gliches?

Maybe it's becoming aware and going through the registry/files is kinda like reading the morning paper.

i'm sorry. i'm at work and bored.

Hehe, that's not only an odd thing. It is really annoying. Thinking when you are using those monitors to do your work but those opennings/closings keep blocking your view and making your already difficult monitoring work more sophisticated

I think that emailing support@stardock.com might be an idea. And if you can post any reply back here it'd be nice.
