Is this possible? (I'm a newb)

Hey I'm new here, and I have a question. I don't know if this is possible, but I want to change a theme/skin in a program called Switched on School House. Maybe some of you have used this programm or not, but it's a computer based school curriculum, which has the crappiest graphics on the face of the planet - well, almost.
I maneged to change some little icons and buttons, like the true & false button in the pic (the images were just saved in a folder), but the theme file is as SOSD file and I don't squat about programming or code, but I do know graphics.
I just took a screen shot here and overlayed the graphics on Photoshop.
I don't know if this is possible or if this is stupid "no, duh" question, I don't care, I just need to know.
Thanks for your help! How it should look: http://img210.echo.cx/img210/7146/soscopy5hc.jpg How it does look: http://img210.echo.cx/my.php?image=soscopy21fe.jpg
