Ubisoft Studio Opens

New Canadian Studio Opens Its Doors

According to Gamespot the recently announced new Canadian studio for Ubisoft is now fully operational at 390 Charest East in the Saint-Roch district of Quebec City. The previous announcement states that Ubisoft plans on a staff of 75 by the year's end and around 200 by 2010. The French publisher also plans on funneling in somewhere around $75 million (Canadian) into the new facility.

Along with the opening came the announcement that Nicolas Rioux has been appointed vice president and general manager of the Quebec City studio. Rioux was formerly part of Ubisoft Montreal.
