WB & MS Office conflict

WB blocks MS Office "Customize" dialog mouseclicks

In all MS Office applications whenever I open the "customize" dialog, clicking anywhere on the dialog produces a "ding" and nothing else. Note that I can navigate the dialog fine using the keyboard, but the mouse is entirely disabled.

After a series of restarts, removing applications from starting etc. I narrowed down the offender to WB. I'm running WB (WB about box = 4.3, SDC reports WB v4.51.047) on Windows 2000 SP4, with Office 2003.

I would recommend updating to 4.51 (my about dialog indicates 4.51) if you can, to rule out a version issue.

I don't run Office 2003, just Office XP (2002) on XP Pro = no issues with any part of office applications running under WB 4.51.

Hopefully someone with more knowledge that I have will stop by.

Ahh, but you see SDC reports I have 4.51.047 and lists no later version. I cannot upgrade it (through SDC because it thinks I have the latest).

Have you tried uninstalling WB and installing it again?

Many times. I've actually had this problem for quite a while, only recently tracking it to WB. I can usually set what I want with the keyboard.

hmm... I have the latest version of windowblinds and Office 2003, and I have no problems. I can click around the customize box all I want. Oh, and when I did have 4.3, I also had no problems..

Odd. Possible conflict of program instruction?

Have you tried uninstalling (yes I know you did)- removing all remnants then restoring to an earlier version then updating (again)?
