Not to be only used as a trademark, ESPN has just announced that the first ever MMO Sports game has just entered its Beta stage. Ultimate Baseball Online will enable PC player's to do something that console players haven't been able to do, play online and gain experience that will directly impact your teams play.
In UBO, players will either be a part of a team or the manager. Managers will control the other players as they try and build their franchise to win the championship while players will try to become All-Stars. Points will be awarded as you get a hit, field a ball, strike out the opponent and win games. These points can later be applied to your character to make them a better play, allowing faster speed, harder throws and powerful hits.
UBO is free for Beta testing with a sign-up to ESPN's site and will be up until the game is launched later this summer.
