CPU Temperature Monitor?

Any DX Widgets report CPU temperature?

Are there any DX widgets that report CPU temperature, or is that even possible with DesktopX, currently?

I think you can get temperature readings from your computer by using the WMI.

Alot of MoBo's nowdays have software you can use to find out the CPU temp..You might go to your MoBo's manufacturer's site and look through the available downloads..or you can simply boot into your BIOS and look at the "Health" of your system..

I have seen a TON of programs that will give you this info as well..
Heres one that will tell you the CPU temp and almost everything else about your system..http://www.lavalys.com/products/overview.php?pid=1&lang=en&pageid=1

The program comes in quite handy on older systems in order to locate updates for the hardware..it's great, Dont even have to open the box to examine all of it..

Zero.

I do have software for monitoring my CPU temperature, but like the idea of having it in a widget, displayed on the desktop.

Thanks for the replies.

I use Samurize to display CPU, and HDD temps (and other info) on the desktop... I find Sam much easier to set up for such things, DX just confuses me, and with 3.0, I'm even more confused.

what's better to have it in a widget or an object?

If running with a theme I'd use an object, widget if running alone...... but a widget can be imported as an object, so over all I guess widgets are best.

You're welcome Orion. Samurize has become one of my "must have" programs.

Hm, for me it is just the opposite. I find Samu most confusing.
