Info About Litestep?

I just saw the Antares skin for Litestep, and didn't realize... does the program actually change your entire desktop like that? It seems very much like what DesktopX does (which I don't particularly like).

What exactly does Litestep do, and does it change your desktop like DesktopX does? Are all of those things in the screenshot of the Antares skin, for example, intrisic with what the program does? Or are they extra add-ons? Is it more resource-hungry/prone to bugs than WindowBlinds?

Sorry for all the Q's, but I'm totally unfamiliar with what I'm looking at in these screenshots, and what Litestep actually does.

Thanks in advance!

Citizen TheOtherGods  ...Litestep is a shell...just like Explorer.exe is a shell...the standard one for windows.

It's very configurable....but not for the 'faint of heart'.

The Screenshot shows the LS shell theme, the Winamp skin and the Windowblinds skin from which the others were 'ported'.

To achieve that 'look' you'd need Litestep [the proggy] and Windowblinds as well.

I'm currently revising the LS theme...so 'Antares III' will be uploaded 'soon'...
