Taskbar

It used to be that OD+ would attach itself to the top of the taskbar, but lately it attaches to the bottom of the screen and covers the taskbar. No settings change the behavior. Cannot figure out what's going on. Any ideas?

jmcole,

If you right-click the taskbar and select "Properties", is the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows" selected?

If not: - select it, then click "Apply".

If so: - then deselect it, click "Apply" - then reselect it, then click "Apply".

I am not sure if this will help, but sometimes windows has to be reminded of what you want.

Note - you may have to hide the taskbar momentarily > float the dock on the desktop somewhere above the taskbar if the taskbar is now hiding the dock > unhide the taskbar > then reattach the dock and resave your theme.

Thanks, corky_o. Your 1st suggestion did the trick. I must have disbaled that setting with I was trying to get my system tray icons to show up. Do you have that problem?

jmcole,

No problem, glad to help.

I ran into the issue when I loaded a DX theme some time ago, and it deselected the "Keep the taskbar on top of other windows", then when I unloaded the DX theme - my tabbed dock which I use for Office, Design, and Tool programs was in front of the taskbar.

After checking the settings in ObjectDock and not finding anything strange, I went to the Taskbar properties and saw the issue.

I use ObjectDock with a normal dock at top center of screen, holding my System Links (My Computer, IE, Recycle Bin, Drives, Control Panel, My Docs, etc.), and the 3 tabbed dock attached to the taskbar as a drawer.

I do not use the Systray or Running Task functions of ObjectDock (I tend to like some of the traditional functionality of Windows).
