Ubi Soft Opens New Studio

French publisher, Ubi Soft, opened a new studio yesterday in Quebec City, Canada, to much fanfare including the city's mayor. The new studio will start off with around 200 designers, animators and programmers in an attempt to reach a goal of 1,000 employees by 2010. The project has the same beginnings as the opening of their Montreal studio in 1997 and will be backed with $21.5 million over the next five years. Ubi Soft is credited as being one of the fastest growing video game companies with offices in 21 countries.
