Icons in ObjectDock help

Hey folks,

I am having a problem with OD, I'm very new to this program, but can tell I'm going to like it.

My problem is this, I edit wich Icon to assign a specific program, however when I open the program, it's not assigning the icon I set up.

I have changed this running applications icon to the one I want. That works till I restart it, then I get the low res icon again.

This is hard for me to explain so I thought I would post a screeny.

On the left is the hard link to start the application, on the right is the corresponding running apps icon. You can see limewire and firefox.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

xvalentinex,

Did you save your theme after selecting the icon images? And are the images in the ObjectDock directory?

Copy or Move the images into the ObjectDock directory (normally found at "C:\Program Files\Stardock\ObjectDock", where "C" is the letter drive).

Set up your theme, then save your theme - this will write your settings to cache, which is what the OS looks at when booting up.

Note - you may want to select the image for running processes using "Class" instead of "Program", if I remember correctly - "Class" will supercede "Program" when there is a difference (or select the same image for both).

I hope this helps.

Thanks a bunch Corky O

Turns out the icons were on my 2nd hdd, I wasn't changing the class, and I wasn't saving the theme.

Not quite sure wich of these solved my problem, but it did, so thank you.
