Uplink: Serial Key

Just downloaded and installed Uplink from my Totalgaming.net subscription, but when I tried to create an account ingame, it asked for information on the CD and/or manual, neither of which, (obviously) I have. What exactly, should I do so I can play Uplink?

I wondered about that too, thought perhaps that was part of the game, to "hack" into that initial key code.

Look in the game directory in the program files folder. I do not recall the exact path (on different computer now), but should be something like:

c:Program Files/Stardock/Totalgaming.net/ ... game name ...

There is a jpeg image you are looking for that has the rows and columns you need for the code look-up. A suggestion for the powers that be is to indicate that information in the game description in Stardock Central... it was about to drive me nuts.

I had the same problem... except luckily I had a copy of the authorization card that comes with the CD. (I had a copy of the original Uplink game).

Click on the .jpg - C:\Program Files\Stardock\TotalGaming.net\Uplink\Black_Code_Card.jpg is the default path.

Sorry gang, this is something I'm working on now. They'll be a shortcut in the Start menu to the Uplink manual created when you install the game in the future (and a note about where to find the keys in SDC).

Hi.. just wondering...

Why is Uplink: Hacker Elite is not available for sale in certain countries?

Strategy First only has rights to sell the game in North America - that's who we have it under contract with.
