I dont see downloaded package preview

I just installed icon packager, and i have tried all of the ones that it comes with which are pretty dull to say the least. now when i came to this website to install one, after i click the download link, it starts saving to a temp loacation. After that, i see this new package i downloaded amongst the others i have to choose from in the packages menu. But, all teh regular ones have like 3 icons as a preview, but every single one i try to download, there is no preview, and when i hit load then apply, nothing changes. The default window icons package is the same also, but when i load that one up and apply, it works just fine. Can somebody help me please with this problem, what am i doing wrong ???

Try to right-click on the download link and "save as". This will download the file to your default download folder. Then have a look at it.

If it has the extension .ip you should be able to just double-click on it.

If it has the extension .zip unzip it and move the resulting folder into your IconPackager/Themes folder.

If you still have trouble open IconPackager and try to import the downloaded files via: "Install new Package" > "Install from disk"

when i tried save target as, the resulting file was a file with .ip, in this case i am using the file "Cryo64Exodo2.ip". When i double click the ip file, it brings me to the icon package, in the menu of "icons and cursors", and still nothing has changed. I also tried install from disk, but that does not work either. I am thinking that i need an actualy folder that has the pics of each little icon it replaces, like the others in the folder, but i get no Cryo Folder, just a .ip file.

Correction, i do have a folder named Cryo, but it seems to have a bunch of files, with the extensions... .cur .ani .icl, there are a bunch of .cur, 2 .ani, and one .iptheme. All of the icons though dont hve a picture respresenting it. the 2 ani files do have an icon though, as well as the .iptheme

The .cur and .ani files are not important. They are just cursors (cur) and animated cursors (ani).

The important files here are .icl (icon library) and .iptheme (icon packager theme). The .icl contains all your icons, while the .iptheme contains the information where each of this icon goes.

You said you found a folder called Cryo which contained these files. Is it in your IconPackager\Themes directory??? If not, move this folder into your IconPackager\Themes folder.

If the Package still doesn't show up (after moving the folder), you might suffer from a bad installation. In that case I would recommend to set all icons to default > uninstall Icon Packager > Reboot > reinstall.

What version of IconPackager are you using? Chances are you're using an old version with the latest version of the .iptheme file format.
