HELP!?

Umm... okay. I just had the strangest thing happen. I use two different AOL screen names, never at the same time, though. So, I'm under screenname1, and see my other self (screenname2) that I had added to my list. I read my info, which had two of my quotes on it that were there. Only, I had put about 8 or 9, probably. I checked the online time, which was 57 minutes. So, I say "hey" to whoever this was and did a smiley face. They logged off. I really don't like this, and have no idea how this happened. I've NEVER given any of my passwords to anyone, and it's making me frusterated. I then logged of screenname1 and went to the one the person was under and the profile was empty. I asked a couple people on my list if "I" had talked to them lately. They said I hadn't. I'm not changing my password, because frankly, I don't care if someone talks to ppl on my list, I just want to know who it is and how they got my password.

Anyone got a clue?!??! HELP?

Even if your friends are under the assumption that it's you?  That's crazy man.

You probably d/led a "trojan horse" virus somewhere (which seems especially common where AOL is concerned; I haven't had that problem with other ISP's), and changing your password won't do you any good unless you kill the trojan horse virus (because it sends your password back to the hacker).

You WILL care if AOL discontinues your account for TOS violations, which is likely (the main purpose of these hackers is to use your account to porn spam other users), so I'd take care of it quickly.

Yeah. You definitely should change your password, because virgins like that will strike again and probably do worse. A friend of mine had her MSN account broken into and the bastard deleted everything he could (I'm at least happy that she wasn't the one who deleted me from her contact list).
