Entry Name Length

Is there anyway to increase the number of visiable characters in the docket entry name? I have shortcuts to folders that have long names. However, it appears that ObjectDock icons will only display 7-8 characters in the entry name.

I just changed the name of one of my folder-shortcuts to a 20 letter expression and it showed up no problem.

Are you changing the name manually, or are you just accepting the name OD puts in there for you? Try changing it manually and see what happens.

P.S. What version of OD are you using?

Thanks for the reply. Actually, if the dock entry name is set to display on mouse over, then it does display all characters. However, when its set to display below entry, it does not show all characters. I did try setting the entry manually.

Using ver 1.1.

I believe this is normal behaviour and not a bug. What happens is that there is simply not enough space on the dock to display all the entry names at the same time. If you have set it on "display on mouse over" then it only displays one at the time and hence has the space to do so.
