Fuel Price Checker Widget
made by _Martin_
can be found at http://www.desktopgadgets.com/gadgets.aspx?catid=4&order=updated&desc=1 at the bottom of the page
Works great and can be minimized or put in Quick Launch menu for a quick start to check prices before going out the door to gas up!

I was just introduced to a Yahoo widget which packs and unpacks various formats of compressed files including .rar. I would like to see a DX widget which performs similarly so I can get rid of the Yahoo widget engine :O

I listen to XM online and I would like to see a XM tuner widget so I can use Desktop X widgets. I use Yahoo widgets and they seem to take up a lot of resources. SO if someone can make one, that would be cool.

"A DX coded start button that activates your start panel and a DX menu with the same click. If someone can accomplish this, I got a big thing brewing over here".(Comment #21)

Yo, NightTrain I think I can do this one (assuming the DX menu you refer has an Object id, this one is likely doable). I'll let you know, that is, if you're really interested. Ya, I just checked it's doable so long as the DX menu is configured as a Popup "Toggle" on the Relation Properties tab. Both become visible when it is activated. But ... there isn't anyway to toggle it off. I went offline and checked to see and okay, now that the DX menu is visible, how do you turn it off? If the Popup is set to menu-volatile it never becomes visible and if it is set to toggle you can't toggle it off from the same button. Oh Boy, spoke to soon.

I'm very new at this, so please bear with me...I'd like to have network activity lights..just a small inobtrusive widget with red and green (or whatever)lights to show activity, in and out. I don't need to know the speed, just a visual key, as it were. Thanks.

Can anyone make or has anyone seen an RSS feed that scrolls like the bottom headlines we see on the news nowadays? That would be cool.

I made a start in February this year on just that sort of scrolling RSS feed, but I put it on hold because of my work and moving house.

I have a version that is about 30% done. It uses XSL (CSS) to style the XML and displays it as a vertical scrolling webpage.

If anyone want to take the photoshop file and dxpack to finish it then they are more than welcome.

That looks really good! I'd certainly like to see it when it's completed. I was trying to go for a horizontal scroll that displayed only the headlines (because it uses less space) but I'm not that great at scripting.

How about a widget the reads xmltv code from Zap2It's website.

I'm actually working on an object that displays a Programming Guide for a Media PC I'm building. Perhaps I can convert it into a widget.

I finally made a scrolling RSS!

-Scrolling
-Start/stop scrolling on mouse over headline
-Fast Forward
-Resize

I'd like a "Post-it Note" widget thingy that works properly. I have found one that looks good but it looses the notes when you reboot, even the font settings reset. Aesthetics are important too, it should look a looks like a real note.

Unless someone can point me to one that works properly?

I use Martin's from time to time, and it seems to work well, and remember my settings...

sViz, just looked for it and didn't find it. Is it posted? I'm currently using a Yahoo widget that's good, but would like to run Stardock/WinCustomize products and those by our crew if possible. Thanks, seldomseen.

It'd be nice if more of the clock widgets had countdown timers or built-in alarms.

Analog Net-In/Net-Out meters
Like auto/motorcycle/aircraft types
With needle-indicators
Maybe 50 pixels to 100 pixels square
Round or other shapes/styles
Rotating-drums alt. to needle-guages
Size of RomanDA's CPU widget ideal

Busted my neighbor once with one of these
...before I secured my gateway
