There is a free version of CursorXP that easily changes mouse cursors and Cordelia has written a very good, with a bit of humor, tutorial on using it https://www.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?AID=60983

CursorXP isn't very resource hungry. It uses about 1400K on my system. Just opening Notepad uses uses 4x that...6500K. Other than that you could try Googling for ani's

https://www.wincustomize.com/software.aspx to get the software. Go to the gallery Tab to see the CursorXP library.

You shoud just try CursorXP. If you don't like it you can always uninstall it.

TNX a lot for your help!

Not sure if there is a time limit on it. The only thing that is disabled is the cursor trails I believe.

There is no time limit.

ok, great!
works fine, i love the green metal cursor!
it tooks 2Mb of ram, and a 20% of cpu on cursor change......(1700 Mhz mobile)
no way to convert those cursors into .ani files?????

Ah!! A fan of regular cursor skinning!!! Yes I miss those things! Not many (if at all) people make those anymore. Icon Packager allows you to make them and package them but no one does that. Usually people make cursorXP skins instead.

As far as I know, your best bet is to get CursorXP. The only icon pack in Icon Packager that has cursors is Argis by Pierre Cavanna. (and its nice too)

Oh and if you know someone who has eye sight problems and they are on XP, you should tell them about CursorXP. Some of the cursors are big and easy to use.

No, they can't be converted to ani files, because CursorXP files use alpha blending, and ani files use one color transparency. They would look awful.

Since CursorXP allows you to resize your cursors, ALL sets can be large. (but maybe it's only the Pro version that allows resizing).........
