The Wall, Window, Floor, Door,Tree, and Me

It's Been a While

Nothing has happened
nothing at all
Just sitting here stoned
watching the wall
Who's watching the window
who's eyeing the door
Who's whispering silently
to who else but the floor

We've all come together
in no more than one stride
The door through the window
who's now waiting outside
The floor slowly follows
she's taking her time
The wall is behind her
he commited the crime

Everyone's left
there's noone but me
I head to the woods
to talk to a tree
He stands very tall
I talk straight to heart
I need to kill you, you see
my house fell apart

Hehe. Funny, and not so funny. Nice use of personification.

I like this. It's simple but the imagery is interesting. makes me think of log cabins in the woods, a kind of loneliness. There's something very striking in this line;

The door through the window
who's now waiting outside
The floor slowly follows
she's taking her time

But I don't know much about poetry, so I'm not sure why. it's just gets me, yknow?
