Bah! Humbug! It's Another Christmas!

I know. What am I doing here on Christmas eve!?! Well to tell the truth I need a few moments of peace and quiet! I've got so many relatives that have come for Christmas that I've had to put some of the more objectionable ones' up at the B&B (bed and breakfast, a little hotel like place) in Pattison. Sorry, to anyone wanting to stay in Pattison overnight but getting as many obnoxious relations out of the way has become kind of a Christmas tradition with me. Anyway, I've enjoyed too much Egg Nog and spiked with No.7 and had too much to eat. All the relatives expected Glazed ham and Turkey. Neither of which I like. However, in the spirit of the season I bought both and it was served up with gusto. I fired up my Aussie and cooked myself a good steak. Not to bad. A warm grill in snow flurries. The carollers (different church groups; I hope) have been by 3 times already and of course my whole clan has to pile out to listen to them. It's traditional out this way to give a box of goodies to their church for their food pantry. I usually give them 2 just to get rid of them (the carollers; not the food). It's really cold today and with SNOW. It's sticking too! A White Christmas in Texas. This hasn't happened in any appreciable amount since 1895! Well, it snowed in 1996 but it wasn't much. Of course the roads are all icy and slick which means the relatives will stick for awhile longer than usual. The "Enhanced" eggnog is catching up with me. I'm getting in that Christmas cheery way. The spirits of Christmas have been by and for once the Family Old Crab will have to play Santa at the Christmas Tree in the morning. Handing out all the presents that have accummulated since Dec. 1. I'm handing out homemade brew this year. I'll have some "Enhanced" eggnog for breakfast of course. Watched my favorite Christmas special too. C.Dickens "A Christmas Carol" starring Alister Sims. Just in case I got a "Ghost Busters" ghost trap on eBay in case the spirits of past, present and future drop by. Anyway, hopefully the Spirit Of Christmas will have retreated by the 26th and things will get back to normal.

Grand Raspberries To All And To All A Good Night! Oh, alright, MERRY CHRISTMAS TOO! Stay safe.

Talk about White Christmas.. I'm sitting here looking out the window in Houston, Tx and there's snow on the ground!!! I must admit after moving from colder climates I don't really miss having to shovel snow but it's definitely cool seeing a little snow on Christmas morning. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and and a fantastic New Year!!
