Empires

If they don't have a website listed, that's all you can probably find out about them. Most of the smaller empires are not really active posters in the forum.

I try to keep track of the biggest empires and some of the smaller, but still active empires, but there are just too many that are already dead or are just empires of ego with only a couple of members. Unless they post some kind of web site or contact e-mail on their empire listing page or have active members on the forum, they may as well be totally dead.

I suggest you limit your search to whatever empires still have recently posting members or active threads. In that case, you can at least you can post something about that empire and have some expectation of an answer. Look around and join an active empire that feels comfortable. There is no rush. I waited until I had five games under my belt before I even looked for an empire. So take a few days and read a few threads before deciding.

Yes, the effort they must put into a public site for you to get information. Many Empires there are that have no purpose or active members to support them. If you are interested in Empiring, then suggest I would, that you join one with members that are interested in keeping the empire alive. Many there are, even if you are not wanting a top ten Empire.

Forget the small fry. You wan't finest bunch of mates in the metaverse. That leaves but one choice. G.R.O.S.S. Welcome aboard.

Yeah, I totally understand. I had joined an empire that looked cool a while back, but I was the only one who seemed to be active. So I switched to one that seemed to be doing something.

The empires that are out of the Top 10 which have rather active members/forum posters are the Illuminati and the Terran Federation.

I've seen empires with players with zero scores or no submissions in 6 or more months. Why keep inactive players in an empire?

I would like empires to be more like pro sport teams:
soliciting players to join
removing inactive players
empire ranking according to average monthly scores
medals awarded to top 3 empire members - updated monthly

If you check the date on his post, Alverin, you'll see it predates RB's entrance to the metaverse by two months...

Oops, sorry! With it being the second to last post I thought it was a recent question from over the weekend. I'm surprised this thread was brought back up from the depths instead of creating a new one. Anyways, once again, I'm sorry I wasn't more attentive Ray. Thanks for pointing it out Kryo.

AI also has only active people.

With only a few people it is hard to move to the top 10.

Also I do not have a web page up for I need to find a free place to put one. Being in for only a few days I have a nice todo list.

If I can find a place to put the page then I will make a link to a email address only for that, like some sort of hotmail one.

For now you have to do like I did and start a thread with the empire name to get their attention.
