WC browser closes itself without warning

Newest version of WC browser and SDC installed. Any time I run the browser, and it does any sort of update or download, the program terminates itself with no error message. I can't even browse new skins any more. Any ideas what's going wrong? My WC subscription is still valid afaik, although I have not been able to renew my OD sub yet. The ONLY difference in the system since I last ran the browser (been a few weeks) is a new video card, FX5700LE 256mb. Everything else is the same. I have the latest nvidia drivers installed, as well as latest directX.

I think the WinCust browser is having some issues due to the WinCustomize.com migration to this new site. I have already bugged Stardock about the problems that I am seeing with it. So I guess the official response would be: "Report it to us so that we can fix it and please have some patience."

The WC browser seems to quit during the Skin Update, I am able to browse the libraries, and download with WC browser - by stopping the auto update when the program is first started and then also going into "Settings" and changing to "Do not check for any skin file updates."

That works for me (so patience is in order, though I'm not really known as a patient person).

Ah, hadn't quite put 2 and 2 together to make the connection with WC2005. I'll wait a few weeks to see what happens. I can't even browse the skins even if I un-check the check for updates option. However, since I can still log in to the website, I can just look at stuff that way until things calm down. Thanks for the heads up on the migration thing. As I said, it had been a few weeks since I checked anything anyway - darn that World of Warcraft!

I'm so patient I couldn't wait for the first comment to appear that I hit the "Submit" button twice.

SDC is also crashing when it downloads the discussion groups (eg resetting the list).

Seems like the lists are not in a format that SDC likes (same, I guess, for WC browser - I don't use it).

It's probably a side effect of all the changes going on at WinCustomize.

Just have to use the web site in the meantime while Stardock sorts it all out.
