All the nights of Jedi Republic, is it alright for me to run around and recruit clanless citizens? We always needs fresh new padawins.

Greetings Berserk! I've just caught up with the forums since school has been keeping me away. Most of our forum contributing members have had real life intervene with their GalCiv, but hopefully new members like yourself will help keep the activity level up. You can recruit all you want but don't force (haha... no pun intended LOL ) anyone to join.

Maybe we can start some strategy talk in here. I'm kind of getting to the point of playing all my games the same way since it works for me. I'm trying to get up to maso, but I can't win quite yet.

I noticed you had an anomalous game. Did you try contacting support@stardock.com and figure out what happened? It's been awhile so if you don't have the save game, then there's probably nothing they can do.

Well, unfortunately I know exactly why I have an anomalous score. I'm using GC writer making whole bunch of mods for GC. I was testing how much PQ stardock is willing to take as fair game. That anomalous game had average PQ of 85. I guess they consider that as cheating. LOL

Even now half of my GC data files are moded. Ships are all moded, improvements are about 75% moded. Techs are about 50% moded. I have 3 new ships, 25 new improvements, and 7 new techs. All working just fine.

Actually, if you are playing my mod with painful difficulty, the game is not that hard to win but with cripling or mesochistic, it gets very hard.(even harder than original) Because computer is also researching all the tech and building improvements that I added.

Some of the improvements I made are Galactic Fleet Command(wonder increases ship hitpoints), Genesis(wonder improves PQ), Ion Cannon(tradegood improves ship attack), High Density Titanium(tradegood improves ship defense), Mega Particle Cannon(tradegood improves ship attack), Hyper Banking Center(improvements improves economics), Terminator Factory(Evil only wonder improves soldiering), and much more.

All the ships and improvements are very cheep at the beggining of the game, but it gets twice as much(even three time more expensive) middle part and later part of the game. One thing I noticed is that computer will make lots of different kind of ships in the game.(not just battleships and frigates or overlords and excalibur) They even build battleships and dreadnaught even they have technology to build excalibur.

You already know the numbers. 6.6 games per member is nowhere near the 15 or so game per player bar set by the top two empires. Show the same amount of dedication right now with no new recruits, and we'll be seeing the Jedi as the #3 power in the Meta. Play more games and recruit as well, then maybe the current duopoly will be broken. It is not only time to get to work with playing for those who can, but X-pack madness strikes soon. This will hopefully revive old players who might rethink where they are going empire wise and attract new players as well. It would be advantgeous to position yourselves to catch these people if they float by with an aggressive recruiting campaign, as every other empire who cares about recruiting is going to try to reel in some new fish as well.

To my fellow Jedi, Sith nights. I have urgent rumor about ANZAC Republic planing an massive attack on Jedi Republic. I have acted on my own to investigate this rumor.

I have traveled to far northwest end of our empire sector 48.84, crossing Fellowship of the Ring empire into the heart of evil GROSS. I hasitated a bit to enter the heart of evil fearing I might get killed just by looking at them. But force was with me, have succeeded crossing the shortest way through sector 66.44 and 65.36.

In sector 65.35, I have seen European Empire all geared up sending countless soldiers to ANZAC Republic. Looks to me, long sleeping Euros are waking up fighting battles against ANZACs.

Currently, I'm at secter 69.30, far west border of ANZAC Republic. My investigation will continue...

After a week's foray into Real Life, the Jedi ponders what he has learned.

- Bourbon Street, New Orleans. You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy. Even if you're just visiting for a trade show.

- If you're going to get sick, it always seems to happen on the first weekend in MONTHS that has decent weather. Regardless of how many sick days you've accumulated at work.

- Family is important, particularly when you're 500 miles away and one of them is in the hospital.

Fellow Jedi, I apologize for my extended absence. I'm back, though. The JR website has been updated with information on our new members. A special greeting to Berserk74 - it's actually embarrassing that the Council doesn't have a single lily-white happy face on it anywhere, but that you've been able to accomplish it.

Now that I'm back, I'll get to work on the website graphics. First up are the long-promised saber updates for Qui-Gon and KEmperor. Just so you know where we're going here, the "original trilogy" saber is going to become our standard version to let Qui-Gon get his special saber handle.

Looks like you're just starting to creep away from pure good - it's probably tougher to stay there than any other alignment, judging from how fast you're leaving that blue-white smiley behind. I finalized the web updates half an hour ago, and you're already a new alignment...

AAARRRGH! More updates needed. Well, I'm going to have to dig a bit to find a decent pic for you anyway, Berserk - I should be able to get to your updates tomorrow night. But it's midnight here, so I need to run for now.

I'm emailing Yoda to ask him to get his little green butt over here for a bit of housekeeping. We have a few Senators who haven't been very active of late; it might be a good idea to bump them down to Overlord until they return to make room for some of our more active players in the Senate ranks.

As another option, we could just expand the Senate membership cap, which Yoda has set at 8; but that's either his decision, or will call for a Senate vote.
