I have some snow flakes on my desktop and I can not uninstall them have even deleted
them and rebooted my system but they are still there

what program were you using? Desktop X? You may have deleted the flakes but if desktop x is set to run at start up they are going to come back until you unload dx or change and save the theme/widget. If your not talkin about desktop x then I have no clue.

Or you might try moving your puter inside where it isn't snowing.

I have unloaded desktopX and restarted it but the snow flakes are still there

AFAIK, you have to save your DX theme with the snowflakes deleted. Then when it restarts they should be gone.

If you're quick enough.. you can right click on the snow flake and delete.
