New Site Skins

I think that this would be a really cool skin to be able to use, thoughts anyone?

Nice skin! What's it called and where can I find it?

'Cut-off' look to the bottom and right side of borders looks incomplete.

Colours of windows themselves identical to the existing skin 'Universe metal', so not appropriate.

Since WCv4 is 'in the wings' it's possibly obsolete as well....

And I do notice that the actual windows are the same color but that can be changed, I think it's a unique idea other than those minor flaws.

"In the wings" is from the theater, referring to the area just to the left or right of the stage beyond sight of the audience. It is where actors about to appear wait before entering the stage. The phrase has come to be used generally to refer to something anticipated or poised to appear.

Finally fixed that side part that Jafo mentioned. Also text has been lowered down to make the site look much neater then my first atempt. Colours have been changed. Hope this looks alot better then the other 1 I made

Please let me know what you might not like on it so I can go back and change it

Hopefully when we have the new site up, we'll be able to let people create site skins for it.

that would be cool (create skins to skin the skinning site) lol i like the whole carbon fibre idea but it looks too plain...

OoO how about a contest? who creates the best looking theme gets a free 2 year subscribtion? or a proggy ?!?

→pyro←  ....it's still probably better to wait till the next generation of Wincustomize.com is up and running before anyone gets involved with site skin creation in any shape or form.

As mentioned before, I doubt this exercise will be of any value due to potential inherent redundancy.

WHEN we know exactly what it is that 'may' be skinned, THEN it may be timely to ponder new skin viability, etc....

/me is already too deeply immersed in this site skinning thingy to give up now

pryo ... what Jafo is trying to say in his wordy way is, we need to wait and see what the new 'look' of WC will be. Skins designed for the present look, may not work with the new site layout. I don't think he's suggesting that you give up.

/me is hoping for a dialup friendly  site skin for the new layout. One that is graphically un-intense, so it loads faster on slow connections.
