using large icons from icon packages

i know Icon Packager has the icon size setting, which is the same as Display Properties > Appearence > Icons > Size i think, but it sucks. mostly cause the icons in the start menu for instance get huge and ugly. but also cause in Explorer, i use the Tiles view, which still only shows 48x48.

so is there a way to change the size of icons Tiles View shows?

and secondly, is there a way to only make the pinned start menu icons bigger, say to 48x48? there's a setting in Taskbar properties, but only gives you 16 or 32, nothing higher.

This is an answer to the first part Icon Packager/Settings/check the boc next to the words use large icons and look to the right and it will say something Like Icon Size and under that you will be able to change the icon size to something higher than 48 by 48/ then hit apply in order to save your changes

Let me know if this doesn't work and I will further try to find your answer but I'm almost certain that if you follow that procedure it will do what you want.

Derek, I going to use this thread to ask a similar icon question. What you said works for the left side. But can you change the icon size on the right side. Vanilla, I don't mean to hijack your thread.

As far as I have so far encountered that setting change can only be done from what shows up on the can only be done on the right side actually, I think you may have misread my post and thought it said left.

that does make the pinned start menu icons bigger, so that's good, but what i want most is to be able to use huge icons in Explorer, like 96x96.

so that create two problems: if i use Tiles view the icons are still the old, smaller size. and second, while i can use the Icons view and see my huge icons, then the icons in the start menu will be 96x96 as well, and that sure isn't good...

i think stardock should make an app that let's you customize the different Explorer views.
