UK Weather Objects

Can anyone please tell me if there are any weather objects that have been scripted to tell you the weather in the uk? I've used one in winstep that's so easy to use and even allows you to not only the country but also your town. Would love to see one for the DesktopX Progy. Or perhaps someone could help me out with scripting a weather object. Cheers!

check out the killer one... it was created by someone in UK.

BTW, that''s the link to the entire dx weather library, so it may take time to open today.

You can get most of the weather objects to work for UK on most programs including desktopX, object dock and sysmetrix.

UK post codes are often not the way they work, at least not directly - the two most usual approaches seem to be either to enter your town followed by ,england or ,united kingdom or the slightly more tortuous approach involves first going to:-

http://uk.weather.com/

entering your postcode or town in the provided search engine which will take you to the appropriate page. If you then look in your address bar on the browser you will see something like the below address (click on the link below and check out the address bar)-

http://uk.weather.com/weather/local/UKXX0085

The key here is to take the UKXX0085 portion (this just happens to be London) and use this as your postcode entry in the actual object.

If you still have trouble post again giving a link to the specific weather object your battling with and I''''ll see if I can help directly.
