I've tried it a few times, sometimes it gets to the 3rd file, but keeps crashing.

Delete the contents of C:\Program Files\Stardock\SDCentral\Temp and try it again.

I'm having the same problem-also on my machine SDcentral did not make a Stardock\SDcentral folder when it was installed. There is however a \Temp folder in my Stardock directory, so I gave deleting those files a shot, to no avail. Any ideas?

OK...Delete the same ''Temp '' folder again and install this http://storage.stardock.com/files/sdcentral_current.exe and let it auto update ....

For those that the above doesn't work, try this: http://storage.stardock.com/files/stardockcentral132.exe

Yup yrag that last link worked for me, although I got it from the SDC newsgroup. Hadn't checked those other solutions previously.

It looks to me like there were 2 updates in the last 12 or so hours. Last night I tried the update (it was build 271) which kept crashing. Build 275 installed fine just now.

YMMV of course!

updated fine for me. why some not others?

Its SDC build 48 thats unhappy and causing the crash when trying to auto updated. Chances are people that arnt having problems were using a previous build which works fine.

For those having problems with the crash and to save you reinstalling SDC you can simply go into \Stardock\SDCentral and run the restore.lnk file which will restore the last known good sdcentral.exe file. Then simply restart the program and it should auto update fine.

Brian - your fix worked for me. Had to read it in WC's messageboard, as I couldn't even get in here to SC. Thanks!
