Open up regedit, navigate to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Toolbar\WebBrowser]
Create a new REG_BINARY "ITBarLayout" and then edit>modify and enter the following hex values.. 0c,00,00,00,4c,00,00,00,74,00,00,00,1a,00,00,00,10,00,00,00,\
17,00,00,00,05,00,00,00,6a,00,00,00,26,00,00,00,01,00,00,00,e0,00,00,00,e0,\
01,00,00,02,00,00,00,29,00,00,00,44,00,00,00,04,00,00,00,09,00,00,00,33,00,\
00,00,03,00,00,00,09,00,00,00,42,00,00,00

Remember to back up your registry first...

On second thoughts...if you're not happy with editing the registry yourself send me your e-mail and I'll send you the reg entries pre-packed in a clickable form.

It's a waste of space, so get rid of it, I'd say. See also: http://toastytech.com/files/throboff.html
