Licenses

License Sharing

I'm interested in your products and just had a few questions:

a). if I purchase a license that allows for me to install your software up to 5 computers. Does that also include my girlfriend's computer? I understand that I would have to use my email in order to access my account for the installation.

b). The other question is that I'm more interested in purchasing a onetime license and was thinking of purchasing a onetime license for each individual product versus buying a subscription-based license package that renews every year. I noticed on some of your products like cursorfx (I think) it doesn't say whether it's a single license or 5 pc license. Copilot says to assume that it's for 5 pc's, but I don't want to sink my faith into its response since it's screwed me over before and admits afterwards that it was wrong.

Thank you for your time and effort in responding. I did find a response back in the forum dated 2022 that says that I could share the 5-pc license with my girlfriend, but I don't know if the policy has changed since then?

Hello,

If you purchase the 5‑active installs license pack, you can install and activate it on up to five different systems. You can also use this guide to review and manage your activations: <https://support.stardock.com/space/SHC/1260191763/How+to+review+and+manage+your+current+activations>;

If the sales page for a product does not mention “5 active installs,” then the price shown is for a single‑system license only.

Likewise, if the page does not mention a yearly subscription, that means the license is permanent for that version. For example, if you purchase CursorFX 4 today, your key will remain valid for all 4.x updates released in the future, but it will not activate version 5 when that is released.

I hope this clears things up for you.

Thank you Basj for the incredible quick response. I really appreciate you thoroughly explaining the policies to me and your time and effort in doing so. I will definitely be purchasing your software today. Your response today has greatly impressed me.

You’ve all been around for quite awhile, I think since the 90’s. Your software brings back lots of memories. I used it back then too. I’m glad you all are still standing strong today. Thank you again Basj!

Very respectfully,

Jeff
