"Maryam, your Lord gives you good news of a Word from Him. His name is the Messiah, Jesus, son of Maryam of high esteem in the world and the hereafter..."
If you are truly a follower of Jesus and consider yourself a "Christian" you could find no more fulfilling account of Jesus' life and teachings or a more reverent and sacred devotion to the importance of Jesus' message than you will find in the Quran.
Except for a couple of specific examples, the best Christians I have ever met have been Muslim or Buddhist. The terrible irony is that the major Western religious devotions, all of whom worship the same god, have been hijacked over the centuries by institutions that seek only to perpetuate themselves. Countless millions have died or suffered and today, millions more are threatened as "God's messengers" point guns at each other.
Fortunately the simple message, the truth, still has the power to transform men's souls. Unfortunately the truth is something that is almost impossible for people to find today. It takes effort to find it and courage to recognize it.
Easter, or Spring for that matter, is a wonderful time to seriously reflect on the core of your own beliefs, and the relevance of your life.
Science tells us that the Grand Unified Theory which will explain life, the universe and everything, will be an elegant and simple equation, a mere sentence is all that's needed.
Like this... "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." — Bible
or this "... he should speak the truth when he tells anything, fulfill his trust when he is put in a position of trust, and be a good neighbor." — Quran
What could be more simple?
