Height of notification area

I have Windows 11 and I somehow got a theme or other change that limits the height of my notification area.

I can not for the life of me figure out what I did or what I used, so that I can fix the problem. I need to fix it because when I try to focus on right clicking on, say, DejaCloud, the right click is showing Stickies which is underneath it. Same with right clicking on Dropbox shows me the scan stuff. I've tried Google for all kinds of searches, and found the regedit hack to change the # of rows, even tried setting that to 3, and 1, with no change. In addition to Start11, I have WindHawk installed but haven't found anything there that might have changed it. So, first I need to know if there is someplace in Start11 that will fix the problem, or if I need to concentrate on WindHawk next.

That would be the normal height for the notification area.  However the painting behind it is definitely not normal as it should match the rest of the task bar.

Whatever is doing that (and changing the number of icon rows in the tray) is probably the issue here.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, with that those modification something will break. We would like to suggest on not using any other program or mod that alter how your taskbar work.

Thank you,

Yes, I know that. I'm trying to find out "whatever is doing that". If by painting behind it you mean the little sliver of my desktop that shows about the task bar, that's just the picture I'm using on my desktop.

I mean it literally has a grey rounded box around the tray area.  Thats not normal.

I would recommend removing windhawk entirely and see if that stops that.
