[Feature Request] windows key can open start menu as floating
Background
when pressing the start button, opening the windows start menu near the start button/task bar is ergonomic/convenient since the mouse pointer is defacto close by. However, this is not necessarily the case when pressing the windows button.
Request
Have an option to when pressing windows key open your chosen start menu style as floating, either
- a ) near the mouses current position - adjusted to prevent crop or screen split.
- This is especially valuable to anyone who maps a the windows key to some mouse button.
- To this end have a separate hotkey binding for start menu at mouse pointer, that can then be leveraged as a third behavior.
or
- b ) floating start menu central (optionally current screen of mouse pointer)
- I would like if this had option to transparency smudge the full screen behind the start menu to focus the eye. Transparency items become unclickable, the transparency area closes the start menu. The start menu is an obfuscating layer, like a windows 8 full screen start menu.
Personally I would value ( b ) more than ( a ) but I can see many would value ( a ) more.
