Yes, I did that. It didn't help. But I was not sure Fences was not running because the window was still open. I cannot even find Fences in the Task Manager.
Using Grok, I have tried about 50 different things. One that worked temporarily was adding:
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM, EnableAeroPeek, 1
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\DWM, AlwaysHibernateThumbnails, 0 <---This was the only one I had to add.
- HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Taskband, NumThumbnails, 10
to the registry. But after a reboot, it stopped working again. Checking the registry, and those settings were still correct.
sfc /scannow found no errors..
I have my Taskbar at the top of my 1st monitor, and on the bottom of the monitor below. I see the same problem on the bottom taskbar.
Ending the service and unloading Start11 doesn't help. This also happens to the stock start menu. But I'm just not sure that Start11 or something is changing some hidden internal settings that are causing this..
