Fences 6, Scroll bar intermittently misbehaving

I am evaluating Fences.

OS = Windows 11 pro, version 24H2, build 26100.6899

Fences version 6.02

Sometimes a folder portal with view mode "list" and enough entries to exceed the available space shows the horizontal scroll bar as expected, but clicking on it produces no effect.  The scroll can still be accomplished with the mouse wheel.

This behaviour occurs after the fences system has been idle for a while, but once in that condition, it remains unresponsive.  However, changing the view to another type (say large icons for example) and then back to view -> list, the system now works as expected.

The fences are grouped.

Unfortunately, just waiting for the situation to arise is very boring.  display timeout is not relevant.

Regards

Phil

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. I tested on my system, but I can't reproduce your issue. Perhaps its difficult to reproduce since I don't remember seeing this same issue reported recently. What you can help is to try to figure out what steps you need to do which will guarantee the issue to appear.

Thank you,

Got it.

Navigate to a nested folder - i.e. double click on a folder inside the top-level fence. Then, when you go back to the top level heavily populated portal, the defect appears.  You can make it go away by changing the view type, and return when you drill down, every time.

Cheers

Phil
