Question about changing a specific color in Start11 Start Menu

When I pick "Modern Style (An updated Windows 7 style)" , the fonts when selecting an application become very hard to read as they change color to white. .

How do I change that specific color and font?

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also need full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Windows under light, dark or Custom mode?
  4. Do you apply custom Start menu background color or texture?
  5. Do you apply custom tile background or specific setting to it.
  6. Do you have any other 3rr party application running that also change your Start menu, such as Windowblinds etc.

Need to know all these to try to reproduce your issue on my system.

Thank you,

Hello

1.Win11 ver. 10.0.26100.6899

2. Stardock11 v. 2.55

3. This issue happens only in Light mode. In Dark it does not have this contrast issue as the font and background colors change and fonts are visible in selected app.

It would be more convenient just to have the standard Windows 7 start menu contrast color.

4 & 5. This issue occurs with default settings and no custom textures , tiles or backgrounds, which do not seem to affect it either.

6. No other third party like Windoblinds installed

Strangely I can not reproduce your issue, perhaps I am looking at different Start menu panel?

Perhaps its the Windows search panel with Start10 style search? But, still I can not reproduce the issue.

Solved it.

It seems you need to have Windows transparency effects activated for it to appear with blue background and white font color as in the images above

thank you for the help
