Disappearing Start Menu Icons after a period of time

from Stardock Forums

Basically, the start menu will be fine, and then suddenly, after a random amount of time, I am missing icons. Not all of them.

 

this has only happened within the last couple of weeks. 

Windows 11 pro 24H2

26100.4770

 

start 11 v2 2.53

 

if i restart explorer, it goes back to normal.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. But, look like you on Windows 11 insider preview build. Do know that Stardock does not support its product on Windows 11 Beta or Insider preview build. Please revert to Standard Windows 11 release version and retest your issue.

I just reverted and its still happening. 

what do I do?

By missing icons do you mean no icon, but the text is there, or do you mean they have vanished entirely?

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back. 

If the issue still happening, please post screenshots before and after the issue appear or a video showing your issue.
