Two small Start11 feature requests

First, newly installed programs are marked with "New". On the regular Start menu this mark can be easily dismissed by either opening the program or right clicking to bring up the context menu, but on Start11, they cannot. The mark will stick around until Start11 decides on its own that the program is no longer new enough to deserve it. I am someone who needs to get rid of all "notification dots" I see as soon as possible, so not being able to get rid of these is very frustrating. Please make them dismissable, or even better, add an option to not have them appear in the first place.

Second, the items on the quick access shortcuts. On the regular Start menu the tooltip when hovering over a shortcut with the mouse simply tells me the name of where it leads. On Start11, it instead gives a description of where it leads. For example, "Documents" becomes "Access letters, reports, notes, and other kinds of documents." I would prefer to have the former. It's possible that these descriptions may be accessible somewhere in Windows where I can edit them myself, but I can't find them.

Hope you consider these!

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know more information on your system.

  1. Windows 10 or 11? Also needs its full version and OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe.
  2. Start11 full version number.
  3. Start11 style you're using.

However, for the new install application: if you on Start11v2.52 and using Windows 7 style have you try turning on this option?

For the second one, I need to know which Start11 style you're using.

Thank you,
Basj,

Windows 11 Version 24H2 OS Build 26100.4061

Start11 version 2.51

Windows 10 style, which doesn't have that option in the screenshot.
