Start11 startup and resuming from sleep mode

Start11 does not appear to like being woken up. :-)

I am currently using 2.5.2 but I've been experiencing this issue since 2.5 came out. I have a single monitor and dock the Start bar on the left with auto-hide turned on. I've found that whenever I wake the computer, Start11 is not responsive. Sometimes I only see an outline. Sometimes it will un-hide but nothing is clickable. I have to invoke the Windows search using the standard hot key, type into the search to have it locate the Start11 app, run that and go to the Taskbar page of the config, and click Restart explorer. This also happens on the initial load of Windows. I'm using Windows 11 Home version 24H2.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need to know your Windows 11 24H2 OS Build number. Please use Winver.exe to get those number.

Thank you.

Thanks for the quick reply. Just for more detail, this is what I see when I invoke the Start menu with the keyboard after restarting Windows or waking from sleep.

Here's what winver says:

Please try, uninstall Start11, reboot immediately (important), download latest version available in your account product download page: https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products. Install it, reboot immediately again. Retest it and report back.

Will do. FYI v2 of Start11 is not showing up in my products page but I do have access to it through my Object Desktop app/subscription.

It should also appear in your Object Desktop product listing. Just click on "view individual downloads to see the full list of products. You will see something like screenshot below.

Got it.Thanks.

I was able to do it from the OD app. Anyway, I uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed 2.5.1 since that's the official release. Should I install 2.5.2?

Do the issue still appear once you installed Start11v2.5.1 and rebooted your system?

I'll check that now. I have not yet re-enabled it.

I've re-enabled and as my day job allows I will put my computer to sleep as well as reboot and let you know if it's happy now.

Rebooted. I don't really have a bunch of stuff running at startup but it took several minutes before I stopped seeing the occasional cursor with an hourglass. Start11 was not happy until I used its config app to restart Explorer.

I'm going to put it to sleep now and try again a little later this evening to see if it also behaves this way after being woken up.

Please install the Start11 v2.5.2 Beta and see if this one help.

Will do.

Is there some debug logging switch I can also enable?

From what I know, there is no debug logging switch for Start11.

Installed 2.5.2 Same behavior on startup. I assume sleep will also be the same but will confirm that later.

Thanks. I'll see if I can find some time to do all theses additional troubleshooting steps soon. But I have to focus on my day job.
