I'm having this issue with the KVM window. After adding the computers, they show fine within the program and also they show on the sidebar, but they won't show in the main KVM window. I've tried numerous versions of 4 including the newest one. I am on Win 11 and did have this working fine previously on the same computer before I had to reinstall. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It looks like you are assuming that 'Launch KVM connection screen' is what you would use to launch an already configured KVM connection - it is not. That option is for ad-hoc connecting to something that is not already configured - a one time connection for example.

If that is what you were doing, double-clicking the configured connection does work to open the connection, yes?

Sorry if I don't understand. But the KVM connection screen used to work without issue to all of my computers before exactly the same as using the side bar. My question is what is the KVM connection screen used for then? It doesn't make sense if the user would use that screen for temp connection use and then need to open the main program to access perm KVM connections. Let me know if I'm understanding this correct, but it did work as I thought it was intended until my recent reinstall.

I have left a screen below after I imaged back to last month. This is how this screen looked previously and was always working this way. I would simply press the hotkey set to + and bam there were my computers. So was this just a glitch the whole time that it was working this way? If so couldn't you implement this because it's much better than using the sidebar in my opinion.

I guess I had the same misunderstanding as ff hash, since I'd been using the task bar icon (right-click on "KVM Mode...", then select the client) to connect for as long as I've been using Multiplicity. The configuration change from sdrohan fixes the issue for me. I'm a little confused *why* it works since the client PC is always on when I try to connect, but either way I'm glad to have the "right-click, then select" option back.

I don't know if this problem is related, but, I have no KB or mouse control most of the time when I remote into my machines. Sometimes it works, most of the time it doesn't.

Thanks for this. I installed it over 4.01, but it didn't make any difference unless I need to uninstall the previous version entirely? Upon turning on "show computers powered on" button, they disappear again. One last thing I noticed, when it did work the screen would show the other computer's activity instead of just the symbol. If you check my previous post above you'll get what I mean. I appreciate your work and help.

You want to ensure you installed the 'Beta' and do so on ALL MP PCs

If you have, please try to reinstall it again, making sure that after you reboot, that MultiplicityConfig.exe is 4.0.1.1

No luck. I installed on all 4 other PC's however when only show powered is unticked they all disappear.

All the computers are connecting now. It turned out the last 2 needed to be connected via IP. Still having issues with the above. The last part is just fixing the connections window so we can see the previews on the screen like the side bar like it was before.

I appreciate all the help.

Can you check mprdp64.exe too assuming you are using an intel/AMD 64 bit CPU. The digital signatures tab should have a signature in March too.

It sounds like that file was not replaced on the primary correctly.

I thought I would mention, the screenshots that I posted above when this was all working fine were from the exact same processor and system config. This has only changed in the last update, possibly 2 updates.

Here is a screen to show that I've only added one computer. What's interesting is everything worked fine only 2 updates ago. The screen I took above was from 4 beta 3 when it was working. This is what I'm getting now below.

This may not be pertinent to your problem(s), but, I was having great difficulty getting Multiplicity to control the remote machines. I could get the video OK, but no KB or mouse control. Sometimes it worked, but mostly not. On a whim, I brought up file explorer and clicked on network. The remote computers were not listed. I did a refresh of the network and one of them appeared. The other machine appeared on the network AFTER I shared a folder on the remote machine. After both machines showed up in the network area of file explorer, Multiplicity worked OK. I then had full KB and mouse control over the remotes. I think the control paths of Multiplicity may be linked to whether the Win OS can actually "see" the machines on the network. It appears that other remote control software uses UDP type protocols and not IP oriented protocols. Addressing the machines via MAC addresses rather than IP/netbios/.etc would be desirable.

Just an observation here. Also, Multiplicity seems to go to sleep after a while and won't work until you do a restart of it from the task bar icon on the right side of the task bar. Again, just observations from my machines.
