Issue with hidden Taskbar using Remote Software

Hello,

there is a less common issue when using Start11 with hidden taskbar on a PC over a remote connection (in my case, using RustDesk): when I hide the taskbar using the Windows function, it works flawlessly. When I allow Start11 to enhace the taskbar, disable Windows own hide taskbar feature and use the one from Start11, it immediately stops working to show the taskbar when the mouse cursor comes to the bottom edge of the screen and does not bring it back up by any means. This only does not work over the remote connection and Start11s own feature.

Could this be fixed?

Best regards,

Tim

I am not a fan of all of Stardocks past decisions either, but I am around here quite some time and know who is who, mostly.

When there is no answer at all it often means they cannot or will not change something and do not want to point you all too directly towards this until you ask. However, you are free to ask again and see what the answer is and why.

I am not coming here often today as a result of past experiences but some things somtimes are fixed. And this is a very obvious and directly replicable case – which does not mean they will/can do something about it, still.

On the other hand, when you do not report issues in, they might be even not aware of them theirself due to all the differences from system to system and all the variables in software development.

After all, I reduced my Stardock usage to Start11 and Fences since there are no good (or better) alternatives around and I paid for them. As many others I stay with the current paid versions due to the horrible new pricing system (true for Fences; there has been no update for Start11 since then) and not buying subscriptions at all which leaves me no options.

Stardock for me always was a 50/50 experience also (especially all the issues with the software), but they do have their niche and right of existence also.

Just my opinion as a offtopic answer to an offtopic comment ... ;-)

Do you have the option enabled to reserve a line for auto hide enabled in Start11?

This is under the auto hide setting.

Interesting idea; I'll test that. Have seen this option but in the horrible German translation it seemed to have nothing to do with that so I left it in its default setting.

Talking about translation: is there a way to force Start11 to use the English language in the UI by default as you can do so in Fences 4 using a registry key? The translation often makes no sense at all and also does not fit the buttons due to too many text. It's a mess!

Just checked and the setting it enabled by default. So, this issue persists with the option enabled.

Edit: Even when setting the remote window in RustDesk to fullscreen, it still does not work. Locally it works fine like with Windows own hide taskbar feature. It is the latest final version currently available (2.51).
