Start 11 v2 2.5 only shows news/weather widget when positioned at the bottom.
With Start 11 v2.5 if I move my task bar to the top or to the sides, the weather widget that also shows the new. panel does not show any more.

Hello,
Sorry to hear you are having issues. Need few more details.
Thank you.

With Top aligned taskbar, the widget will only show in "Left Aligned" or "Left start button and center aligned taskbar buttons."
I don't believe it will show at all on the vertical taskbar.
Here is the information requested:

Edition Windows 11 Pro
Version 24H2

OS build 26100.2894
Serial number PF3RQCXZ

As pelaird indicated, I was able to confirm that the weather widget that also shows the local news, is only shown when I choose the left aligned icons on the task bar. It does not show in any other taskbar configuration.
Also, I can inform that the weather widget, as the screenshot shows, disappears at times.
The only way to get it back, so far, is to select some other icon configuration (center aligned, left aligned start button with center icons) and then select the left aligned option again.
I believe this is known behavior on the Taskbar Widget when you have Start11 taskbar enhance turn on. However, I have forwarded your problem/question to Stardock Support Team for their assistance. Please keep an eye on this thread for any updates. We appreciate your feedback and patience.

One more thing I noticed in my daily use of Start11.
Even though the taskbar is auto hidden and out of view, clicking where the taskbar would appear, triggers the icon at that location.
At work, I have a small monitor and stretch my windows almost from bottom to top. My taskbar is at the top and auto hidden.
When I try to drag a window, I always trigger an icon on the toolbar, even though the toolbar is hidden.
Same thing happens at home, where I have a much larger screen, and for that reason, the issue is far less bothersome at home.
