IP not seen as IP

from Stardock Forums

Stardock multiplicity 4 pro is not showing IP address for added computer, it shows (1700::fe80:0:0:0)
and if the option: Always used the IP address is checked, the pc is not found!

This is the way it looks
Always used the IP address (1700::fe80:0:0:0) -- Not an IP
